Seat belt switch

Low cost latching plate detection, sized for easy implementation.

Utilizing a manufacturing process proprietary to D&R, this switch is integrated into a seat belt buckle housing to sense the presence of a latching plate. The switch is engineered to fit Hall sensor technology and ESD protection circuitry into a very small space, adding a 2-wire (low/high current) design to ease implementation and reduce wire count. In response to customer demands, the unit’s robust packaging was engineered to withstand heavy shock and vibration.
