Conventional contact sensor for adjustable pedal systems
This design significantly cut the cost of a key component in an automotive adjustable pedal system, by replacing a non-contact sensor with a polymer thin film (PTF) potentiometer. Additional savings were realized by utilizing precision molded gear train technology, to yield quiet, smooth and reliable operation while achieving a new low in unit cost.
This unique combination of technologies leverages D&R expertise in manufacturing, along with a program of quality management that meets the stringent requirements of the automotive industry’s most demanding customers.
